Mine is a older Stevens Model 94. It’ll put 110 pellets in a 10” circle at 40yds with the full barrel. It does shoot about 8” high. I’ll just put the bead on the top of his beard. I’m going to carry it this season. I’ll just use the bead. I got caught up blasting them with my 20’s for a while.

This is one of the patterns from that .410 that the guy I bought it from sent me with TSS handloads .

How many yards away was the target? I can't see the writing. Birds would have to be very close. I don't the pellets retaining much energy 20-25 yards, but that's far enough.

40yds and that's 169 pellets in a 10" circle.

I think you'd be surprised at how far the TSS pellets would remain lethal and retain energy.

He was probably shooting 13/16 oz 3” load of 9.5 TSS.

9.5’s penetrate like a lead #6. Plus you can cram quite a few more 9.5 pellets into a 13/16 oz 3” .410 Hull. Pattern density is much greater, velocity over 1100fps equals a .410 that can put enough pellets on target at 40yds if need be and more than enough at 20-25yds
