Default Roomba?

Any of you guys use a Roomba at home? The wife wants one but I don't know how it would hold up to heavy pet hair.

My wife just got one because our pug sheds like hell. I've only seen it do a test run but it did a good job.

Allie shed too much. It would be clogged before it could even do its first run. Plus she would absolutely hate the damn thing.

Wimmen need to get off their butts and use a broom or a vacumn.

My neighbors have one and they have a couple dogs. They have said very good things about it.

We have one. Works great and picks up our German Sheppards coarse hair with no problem.

Pretty much the same mixed reviews I've seen everywhere else. I don't know anyone personally that has one, but it sounds like you either love them or they suck...

Found one at Sam's this weekend that was a competitor to Roomba for only $200. It sweeps and mops. I think I may give that one a try so that I'm not out big money when I say "I told you it wouldn't work with all this dog hair...here's a broom."

We've been thru 3 of 'em, be sure and get the extended warranty and the batteries are 'bout $70, but they do work well especially on hardwood floors.

That's what a wife is for. Kids too, when they are old enough to push a vacuum
