thats great, robert. its trying at times, but well worth it when they start coming around. i have been working mine pretty hard the last two weeks, after giving him some slack during turkey season. i still worked him at least 4 days a week, but not much with the collar on...i want him to work well without it, in case of collar failure, was my theory. he balked at me one day last week, when i said to heel. just turned his head away, and acted like he didnt hear it. so, i put the collar on, and repeated the order...he refused, and i zapped him. he squalled, but still refused to get his azz off the shady porch. so, i REALLY zapped him...he turned a flip a few times, and pissed all over THE PLACE...and, then he was bumping my knee w/ his shoulder, letting me know he was compliant. havent had a lick of trouble since then, but i am not inclined to give him any slack, when he does next time.

today, we worked on some 200 plus yard marks, and blinds. first time i have stretched him out that far. i am pleased as to how it worked, and we are going to do more of it, regularly.

What happened to the male dog? Didn't make the cut? Did you put him down?
