Default Howdy from Gainesville...
Hello all. Found this forum looking for info on....well, I can't remember what I was looking for to tell ya the truth. Anyway, I saw a few familiar names and thought I'd follow along. Thanks to the admin. for letting me join you. I'm 95% fisherman, but I have done a little hunting over the years. Three seasons( randomly scattered) of deer hunting - two gun, one bow and gun and I still haven't got my deer. Going to try to change that this fall/winter though. 40 years old now, and I think it's about dern time I got one.


Now, where was that thread about someone wanting to learn how to flyfish......

Welcome, fly fishing is for the elitists and they are about as bad as turkey hunters and aren't quite as bad as duck hunters.


You should really stick with a real outdoor sport......deer killing

Sorry about that. I see we have some yankee Florida folks here.

I'm in Gainesville, GA currently, just an hour or so from trout water. Ole Huntfish can flyfish, too. Don't let him fool you - he's not just a pretty caster.

I've been flyfishing for about 23 years now and I've picked up a few tricks here and there. I don't know it all, but what I do know I'm happy to share. That is, if I can just keep myself from getting banned long enough to share it. I was hell on wheels( and sometimes just an outright idiot) in my early internetin' days.
