Default Overall Results.......

I know we are still in the middle of summer and growing season. But overall, how would you access your results from this years results ?

Here's mine:
Tomatoes- Very good results, good crop
Bush Beans- 4 plants, great results
Onions- Fair (Not enough space)
Carrots- Probably won't try again (Not enough space)
Peppers= Bell good crop, Jalapeno good as well.
Spinach-Great crop
Lettuce- Great Crop
Brocholli- Whew, not easy. Take up ALOT of space. They grow BIG, without producing much. Battle worms all the time.
Strawberries- I transplanted 10 plants from a neighbor's garden. Just ok results, not big berries.

Overall, I had alot of fun and we have eaten pretty good from this project I started in January. I learned alot, what to plant, what not to plant, how to plant certain seeds and what not to.

But, from building my own bed, a 6'x10' raised bed, hauling in 4 truck loads of screened soil, I am real happy.

I've got a real good compost bin, so that will just add to my fertilizers for next year.

Grade B-

Sounds good, you left off the blueberries (they were in your raised bed).

Things are always better when "home grown".

I had some failures and I had some things that didn't do well, but I still got a ton of food from mine. I am still getting beans, peas, tomatoes, peppers, and okra. Everything seems to be on the decline except peppers and okra. I will give it a B.

I would have to say mine did fairly good, but I didn't plant that much, bell pepper, squash, tomatoes and cucumbers. Tomatoes still doing pretty good, them sucker got over 7 or 8 ft tall and are breaking from the weight of the maters.
