I hear ya,I've noticed the same thing there, with the dwindling amount of trophy bass, during the spawn, unfortunately. The same thing happened to the county pond by my house. It was my honey hole for about 5 years, then they put in a play ground,a huge parking lot,and paved a jogging trail around the 100 acre pond.Still has some good fish in there, but the bluegill fishing doesn't even compare to how it was in '95-'99.

I caught 28 yesterday in about 2 hrs. No bedding but they started biting about 6:30pm. Most were big shellcrackers and bluegill. None of the fish I cleaned had eggs in them

We put them in cornmeal with a little lemon pepper seasoning and deep fried them I think at 350 until golden brown. Made some hushpuppies with Vidalia onions chopped up and added to the mix. Sure was good!
